Diamond Jubilee (60 years)
In July, Sister Carol Pacini renewed by hers vows surrounded by family, friends and the community during mass at the Maternal Heart of Mary Chapel in the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. A reception with light refreshments followed. Many employees stopped by to offer their congratulations. Sister Carol’s sister, and brother and his wife flew in to celebrate the special occasion and even did some sightseeing in Chicago. Luckily, the weather cooperated. Lately, Carol has been involved with the LCM Hospital administration in its search for affiliation.
Platinum Jubilee (70 years)
In October, Sister Mary Jane Feil celebrated her profession of religious life with a special Liturgy at the convent surrounded by her sisters in community, staff and special friends. Fr. Jim Thompson, an Augustinian priest and longtime friend presided. We enjoyed a lovely luncheon and shared wonderful stories together. Sister Mary Jane has the unique distinction of being one of the first babies born at Little Company of Mary Hospital. She continues to walk the halls, meet up with her friends and attends daily Mass in the chapel, in addition to her service in outreach ministries
